to the Enrico Fermi High School Marching Falcons for an outstanding performance at the 2014 National Memorial Day Parade. The Marching Falcons braved over 90 degree weather in full Fermi Uniform beginning with the Opening Ceremonies, Taps Ceremony, pre-parade line-up and for a one mile parade on Constitution Ave. Their professionalism and marching and musical artistry continued to shine throughout the performance. We were greeted by cheers of fans along the parade route and a huge contingent of spectators at the end of the parade. Along with a large fire truck complete with huge fan and a welcome spray of water! I cannot say enough about the amazing parents, chaperones, spectators, alumni, staff, friends and family that assisted us in being safe and well supported through this experience. The efforts of all were truly outstanding. Many of chaperones logged in miles of walking and had the stamina to accomplish multiple tasks to keep us maxing out with as much educational opportunities as we could; and that we did from our arrival in Washington for lunch at Union Station to our finale route home to Enfield where we arrived at just past 1am. We faced multiple obstacles, sickness, traffic, weary bus bodies and the infamous wakeup calls; but nothing stopped us from experiencing this trip to the fullest. What a fine tribute to memorialize the ultimate sacrifice our men and women in the military have made. Our students have a new appreciation of what has made our country great and how much value a visit to our National Capital on Memorial Day can bring. Thank you!

We are in need of bottled water for the Marching Band! We need to keep 130 band members hydrated during each competition, football game, rehersal, etc. Your donation can be dropped off at the band room at Fermi High School. Small or large bottles will work.
Remember, many hands make light work. If everyone contributes a little, it goes a long way. Thanks for your continued support!
